The Active Anti-Bott system is integrated into the design -- not an add-on conceived after the fact -- so it works quite well, which isn't such a simple task for a crampon with vertically oriented side rails. The Accordeon maintains tension between front and rear sections of the Anti-Bott and prevents snow from sneaking in between boot sole and the Anti-Bott.
